The Student Consumer Information regulations of the United States Department of Education require institutions participating in federally funded financial aid programs to make information about the institution available to current and prospective students. Brillare Beauty Institute intends to provide complete and easy access to any information students need.

Placement Rates are calculated as follows: Total number of students who graduated in the above time frame that were employed in-field or related to their field of study divided by the total available graduates, which excludes graduates unavailable for placement (i.e. incarceration, death, serious health issues, etc.). The source of this information is provided to COE, our accrediting body, for 2023 annual report.

Infield or related field of study for Cosmetology is licensed hair stylist, which includes booth rentals at hair salon or spa, artistic directors, and educators.

Infield or related field of study for Esthetics is a licensed Esthetician in a spa or salon, dermatologist office, cosmetic surgeons, or other professional skincare institutions.

State License and Accreditation

Brillare Beauty Institute is licensed by the Tennessee State Board of Cosmetology, 500 James Robertson Parkway, Suite 120, Nashville, TN 37243.

Brillare Beauty Institute is accredited by the Commission of the Council on Occupational Education (COE), 7840 Roswell Road, Building 300, Suite 325 Atlanta, Georgia 30350, (770) 396-3898.

Transfer of Hours Disclosure

Hours earned at Brillare Beauty Institute may not transfer to another educational institution. Brillare Beauty Institute may not accept hours earned at another educational institution. You should obtain confirmation that Brillare Beauty Institute will accept any hours you have earned at another educational institution before you execute an enrollment contract or agreement. You should also contact any educational institution that you may want to transfer hours earned at Brillare Beauty Institute to determine if such institutions will accept hours earned at Brillare Beauty Institute before executing an enrollment contract or agreement.

The ability to transfer hours from Brillare Beauty Institute to another educational institution may be very limited. Your hours may not transfer, and you may have to repeat courses previously taken at Brillare Beauty Institute if you enroll in another educational institution. You should never assume that hours will transfer to or from any educational institution. It is highly recommended, and you are advised to make sure that you know the transfer of hour policy of Brillare Beauty Institute and of any other educational institutions you may in the future want to transfer the hours earned at Brillare Beauty Institute before you execute an enrollment contract or agreement.

CARES Act Grant Program (HEERF)

Important: Brillare Beauty Institute is privileged to be participating in the US Department of Education’s CARES Act Grant Program (Section 18004(a)(1)) to financially help our students effected by the pandemic caused by Covid-19.

  1. We have signed and returned to the Department the Certification and Agreement attesting that we are using funds received under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES and CRRSAA Act and further funds through the ARP Act to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants directly to students.
  2. The total amount that Brillare Beauty Instituted was granted from the Department’s HEER Funds for students was $482.001.
  3. As of December 31, 2021, all of the $482,001 has been distributed to students directly along with an additional $21,369 from HEERF Institutional grants that were also provided to students as well, totaling $503,370, which is 104.4% of the overall HEERF Student grant.
  4. There were 264 students at Brillare Beauty Institute who are or could be eligible to participate in the Federal Student Financial Aid programs under Section 484 of the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended, and thus are eligible to receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act.
  5. 220 or 84% of eligible students received an Emergency Financial Aid Grant through 5 different time periods with an average grant award of $2288.00 combined.
  6. The Board of Trustees for Brillare Beauty Institute used students’ EFC score and the number of household dependents found on the student’s FAFSA and the students’ specific financial need to continue school in a remote learning setting to determine which students received Emergency Financial Aid Grants and how much they would receive under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act.
  7. All students were immediately informed via email, text and on video conferences of the opportunity, the criteria and the steps needed to complete in order to be eligible for the Grant along with directions as to when and how the funds would be provided to them.  The student portal was utilized for students to apply for the grant and submit an application.  The portal was also used to notify student of the award.
