Franklin Academy Assists with Fashion Show and Fundraiser
Here at Franklin Academy, we are committed to giving back to the community around us. We have partnered with VindiMa Girl Salon and Boutique & the River Worship Center to assist with their 2016 Fall Fashion Show, Brave Enough to Fight.
The Fashion Show and connected fundraiser will benefit the charities Women at the Well and The House that Mercy Built. Women at the Well is a program that offers services to women 18 years and older who have life-controlling problems, specifically addictions, depression, and helplessness. They offer faith-based long-term or residential programs.
The House the Mercy Built is also a faith-based program that is geared towards providing a safe environment for the transformation of women with life-controlling issues. They offer a comprehensive approach to ensure happiness and success for their residents. The students of Franklin Academy will be modeling on stage as well as assisting the stylist with hair and makeup. This is a great opportunity to see the talent we have here at Franklin Academy!
Leading up to the Fashion Show, the students of Franklin Academy will be selling $5.00 coupons for services. There are coupons for a Basic Pedicure for $5.00, Basic Facial for $5.00, and a Shampoo/Cut/Style for $5.00. These are great deals, with most of the services typically 2 times more than the coupon’s price. These services will be performed by supervised students at our Cleveland location. They also don’t expire until the end of this year, leaving you plenty of time to use them. You can buy the coupons from any Franklin Academy student or come into the school and purchase the coupons at the front desk.
The Fall Fashion Show, Brave Enough to Fight, is being put on by VindiMa Girl Salon and Boutique & the River Worship Center. It will be held at Lee University in the Dixon Center on Saturday, September 3, 2016. Doors open at 10:30AM and the show begins at 11AM. Hors d’oeuvres will be served, and there will also be an opportunity to shop in the Boutique after the show. General Admission tickets are on sale now and are $20. Ticket and coupon sales will go back to benefit Women at the Well and The House that Mercy Built. Please contact us for more information or come out this weekend to support these worthy causes. We are excited to see you!
