Once you’ve organized your topics, it’s time to turn that list into a schedule. And no, you don’t need to study eight hours a day to succeed.
Set aside small, manageable chunks of time, like 30–60 minutes a day, five days a week. Focus on one major topic per week, and alternate between reading, note-taking, and reviewing practice questions. Doing a little bit every day is far more effective than pulling all-nighters or waiting until the last minute.
Here’s a sample weekly plan:
- Monday: Review textbook material on infection control
- Tuesday: Watch a video or demonstration on disinfection techniques
- Wednesday: Take a quiz on sanitation
- Thursday: Practice your written notes and highlight problem areas
- Friday: Review mistakes, revisit material, and take another quiz
Don’t forget to schedule breaks and leave a few days open for review or catching up.
